Rush Casta vs Verity Simon

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Dawu Sports Stadium, Accra,  taking place on 17/07/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Western African Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rush Casta (24(16) - 4(3)) who hails from Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Verity Simon(23 - 5(3)) from Douala, Cameroon.  Casta weighed in at 175 pounds, while Simon weighed in at 174 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Deion Ayew, and the three ringside judges are Vashon Asamoah, John Adu and Uland Attakora.  

Round 1: 

Simon is looking to close the distance.  Casta pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Casta switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Simon lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Casta clinches his opponent.  Casta pushes his forearm into Simon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Simon walks Casta down, trapping him on the ropes.  Casta attempts to land a right hook, but Simon blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Casta hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Casta steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Casta lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Simon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Simon attempts to land a right hook, but Casta sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook to Simon's body.  
Simon walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Simon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Simon throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Simon lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Casta lands an overhand right.  
Casta connects with a cross.  
Simon lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Simon advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Simon lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Simon digs in a left hook to Casta's liver.  
Simon lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Simon throws a right hook, but Casta clinches his opponent.  Casta leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Simon pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Casta is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Casta lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a straight 1 - 2.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Simon steps inside.  Casta is looking to force the stoppage!  Casta lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS SIMON DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Simon now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Casta is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Simon slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Casta lands a spiteful jab.  
Casta quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Casta is on target with a cross.  
Casta lands a firm cross.  
Simon lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  Simon tries to land a cross, but Casta slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Casta lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Casta is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Casta lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND SIMON IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Simon now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Casta tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand right.  
Casta lands a straight 1 - 2.  Casta tries to land an overhand right, but Simon sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Simon closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Casta on the ropes.  Simon lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Casta lands a hard jab.  
Casta throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Casta tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Casta finds the target with a hard jab.  
Simon advances into close range and forces Casta to back into the ropes.  Simon lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Simon attempts to land a left uppercut, but Casta blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Casta lands a jab, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Simon gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Casta sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Casta tries to keep the action at long range and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Casta lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Simon could be stopped here, if Casta can find the right shot!  Casta lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SIMON IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  Simon now seems to have got his legs back.  
Simon closes the distance.  Casta lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Simon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Simon gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Casta holds on to his opponent.  Casta pushes his forearm into Simon's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Casta about fouling.  
Casta tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a MASSIVE cross.  SIMON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Simon steps inside.  Casta knows Simon is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Casta lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SIMON IS DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Simon cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Casta!
