Chris Meredith vs John Hoy

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Rhode Island promoted show at Geoff Damon Gym, Providence,  taking place on 17/06/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Rhode Island Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Meredith (14 - 8 - 4) who hails from Providence, USA and John Hoy(2 - 0 - 1) from Providence, USA.  Both Meredith and Hoy weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Montoya, and the three ringside judges are Declan Hernandez, Cole Levingston and David Bellillo.  

Round 1: 

Hoy advances into close range.  Hoy leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Meredith steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.
