Alec East vs Eric McNeely

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Olympia, Liverpool,  taking place on 17/06/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the British-Central England Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are The Prodigy Alec East (19(7) - 2(1)) who hails from Derby, UK and Eric McNeely(20(13) - 1 - 1) from Derby, UK.  Both East and McNeely weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Bevans, and the three ringside judges are Deri Hare, Paul Elliot and Michael Beretta.  

Round 1: 

McNeely closes the distance and drives a right hook into East's body.  
East tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a firm cross.  East tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to East's body.  
McNeely advances into close range.  McNeely lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  East has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
McNeely lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  As East tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McNeely dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McNeely manouvers East into the corner.  McNeely lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  McNeely attempts to land a left hook, but East blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
McNeely drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  McNeely clinches his opponent.  East is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns East.  
East is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  East throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
McNeely is looking to close the distance.  East quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to McNeely's body.  
McNeely forces East to retreat onto the ropes.  McNeely tries to land a right hook, but East parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
East steps to the outside and lands a cross.
