Xaverius Deniz vs Fraco Merced

Boxing Daily Report from the Tlolane Promotions promoted show at Santiago de los Caba Boda, Santiago de los Caballeros,  taking place on 15/04/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Dominican Republic-Santiago Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xaverius Deniz (13(4) - 3) who hails from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and Fraco Merced(6 - 3(1) - 1) from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.  Deniz weighed in at 130 pounds, while Merced weighed in at 129 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rogelio Coca, and the three ringside judges are Quin Conejo, Quin Conejo and Isidro Munoz.  

Round 1: 

Deniz steps inside.  Merced quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Deniz lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Merced pivots to the left of his opponent.  Deniz is on target with a cross.

Merced's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Merced's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Merced's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Deniz is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Deniz is on target with a powerful right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  DOWN GOES MERCED!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Merced has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
