Ponce Verdejo vs Diego Lovato

Boxing Daily Report from the Nawanoma Promotions promoted show at Quito Mancha, Quito,  taking place on 16/01/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ponce Verdejo (9(7) - 1) who hails from Manta, Ecuador and Diego Lovato(7 - 10 - 3) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Verdejo and Lovato weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Vallez, and the three ringside judges are Paco Florez, Enzo Roque and Diego Pareja.  

Round 1: 

Verdejo feints a right hook, and then lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Verdejo lands a cross.

Lovato advances into close range.  Verdejo lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Lovato advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Verdejo feints a cross, fooling Lovato into throwing a left hook counter.  Verdejo springs the trap and counters with  a left uppercut.  
Verdejo switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  Verdejo attempts to land a jab, but Lovato sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lovato is on target with a cross.  
Verdejo switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Lovato gets on the inside.  Verdejo hits home with a right hook.  
Verdejo lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Lovato walks Verdejo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Verdejo tries to land a jab, but Lovato sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Verdejo tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Lovato manouvers Verdejo into a corner.  Verdejo drives a left hook into Lovato's ribs.  
Verdejo tries to keep the action at long range and lands a CRUSHING cross.  LOVATO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Lovato almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Verdejo is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to Lovato's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lovato's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Lovato's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Lovato's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Lovato closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Verdejo blocks the shot and counters with a mean left uppercut.  LOVATO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Verdejo switches the action to the outside.  Verdejo stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Verdejo lands a cross, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head, AND LOVATO IS DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Verdejo!
