Juan Fuentes vs Olindo Caraballo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Coahuila promoted show at Ngwenya Gym, Saltillo,  taking place on 23/12/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Coahuila Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Fuentes (17(6) - 1) who hails from Torreon, Mexico and Olindo Caraballo(6 - 8(2) - 2) from Saltillo, Mexico.  Both Fuentes and Caraballo weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Macia, and the three ringside judges are Selestino Briones, Carlos Remigio and Iago Patron.  

Round 1: 

Caraballo finds the target with a jab.  
Caraballo closes the distance.  Fuentes digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Fuentes holds on to his opponent.  Fuentes is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Fuentes about fouling.  Fuentes attempts to land a left hook, but Caraballo blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Caraballo is on target with a cross.  Caraballo tries to land a cross, but Fuentes slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Fuentes steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Fuentes ties up his opponent.  Fuentes tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Caraballo's kidney. The referee warns Fuentes and breaks the clinch.  
Fuentes lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Caraballo gets on the inside.  Fuentes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Fuentes is on target with a left uppercut to Caraballo's body.  Fuentes clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Fuentes pushes his forearm into Caraballo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Fuentes sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Fuentes throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Fuentes is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Caraballo's ribs.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Caraballo.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
