Clint Hay vs Sammy Ivers

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Central England promoted show at Greenbank Sports Centre, Liverpool,  taking place on 06/10/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Central England Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Clint Hay (6 - 12 - 3) who hails from Manchester, UK and Sammy Ivers(12 - 0) from Liverpool, UK.  Both Hay and Ivers weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Llewellyn, and the three ringside judges are Rodric Valentine, James MacDuff and Ray Skene.  

Round 1: 

Ivers is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hay steps to the outside and attempts to land an overhand left, but Ivers dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ivers pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hay closes the distance.  Ivers pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Ivers lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ivers is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ivers lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ivers gets on the inside.  Ivers pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Ivers pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Hay's ribcage.  
Ivers manouvers Hay onto the ropes.  Ivers quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hay throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ivers steps inside and digs in a left hook to Hay's body.  
Ivers pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Hay connects with an overhand left.  
Hay sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ivers hits home with a cross.  
Ivers lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Hay advances into close range.  Ivers pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Hay sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ivers lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ivers dabs at his face checking for damage.  Ivers has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Ivers pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ivers pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Ivers gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ivers lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Hay attempts to land a jab, but Ivers sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ivers steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Ivers forces Hay to back into the ropes.  Ivers pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ivers lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hay's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Hay's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Hay's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hay switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Hay closes the distance.  Ivers lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ivers digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ivers advances into close range.  Frustration is starting to boil over for Hay now.   He turns Ivers and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref halts the action and sends Ivers to the neutral corner.    He warns Hay that he is heading for a point deduction.

Ivers tries to step out of his opponents range.  Hay feints a right hook, but Ivers does not fall for it and responds with a right hook.  
Ivers closes the distance and drives a left hook into Hay's body.  
Ivers gets on the inside.  Ivers lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  As Hay tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ivers dabs at his face checking for damage.
