Gethin Couch vs John Gibbs

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Virginia promoted show at Chesapeake McKenzie, Chesapeake,  taking place on 02/10/2031:

Clearly AI USA-Virginia have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Virginia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Couch (10 - 2 - 2) who hails from Chesapeake, USA and John Gibbs(8 - 1) from Virginia Beach, USA.  Couch weighed in at 117 pounds And 8 ounces, while Gibbs weighed in at 117 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Adam Walls, and the three ringside judges are Waleed Mady, Patrick Higgins and Corey Regan.  

Round 1:

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Gibbs.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
