Waleed Mahdi vs Asif Alam

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UAE-Dubai promoted show at Dubai Hamawi, Dubai,  taking place on 02/09/2031:

Clearly AI UAE-Dubai have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the UAE-Dubai Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waleed Mahdi (2 - 2 - 1) who hails from Dubai, UAE and Asif Alam(11(2) - 3 - 2) from Dubai, UAE.  Both Mahdi and Alam weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Syed Aman, and the three ringside judges are Ahmed Ghanem, Obaid Lahout and Aftab Emami.  

Round 1: 

Alam is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Alam clinches his opponent.  Alam leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Alam pushes his forearm into Mahdi's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Alam to stop fouling.  
Alam throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Alam clinches his opponent.  Mahdi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Alam walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Alam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Alam lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  Alam attempts to land a left hook, but Mahdi blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Alam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Alam lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Alam clinches his opponent.  Alam leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Alam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Alam crashes a mean left hook to Mahdi's liver.  MAHDI IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Alam lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Mahdi finds the target with a jab.  
Alam lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Alam connects with a right hook.  
Alam lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Alam pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Alam connects with a stinging left hook.  
Mahdi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Alam lands a stinging cross.  
Alam lands a left hook.  
Alam is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alam lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Alam is on target with a left hook.  Alam clinches his opponent.  Alam leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Alam hits home with a left uppercut.  
Mahdi throws a left hook, but Alam ties up his opponent.  Alam leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mahdi uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Alam behind the head. 
Alam is on target with a left uppercut.  
Alam lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Alam drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mahdi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mahdi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Mahdi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Alam forces Mahdi to back into a corner.  Mahdi throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Alam lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Alam lands a sharp left hook.  
Alam lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Alam lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alam drives a firm right hook into Mahdi's body.  
Alam drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Alam closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Alam lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Mahdi now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Alam lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Alam walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Alam lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
The right shot from Alam could be enough to force the stoppage!  Alam lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND MAHDI IS DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Mahdi is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Alam!
