Dai Blackard vs Colin Herring

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Allphones Arena, Sydney,  taking place on 06/09/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Oceania Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dai Blackard (25(15) - 0 - 1) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Colin Herring(15 - 9(2) - 2) from Sydney, Australia.  Blackard weighed in at 230 pounds and 6 ounces, while Herring weighed in at 227 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Kaplan, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Bobko, Brendan Gillie and Kai Hanigan.  

Round 1: 

Blackard lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Blackard feints a cross, and then lands a right hook to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.

Herring wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Blackard dabs at his face checking for damage.

Blackard is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Blackard closes the distance.  Herring throws a right hook, but Blackard holds on to his opponent.  Blackard leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Blackard's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Blackard manouvers Herring onto the ropes.  Blackard digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.
