Vili Makinen vs Arttu Rautiainen

Boxing Daily Report from the P3P Promotion promoted show at Ratina Stadium, Tampere,  taking place on 04/09/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Finland Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Yle TV2, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vili Makinen (19(17) - 1(1)) who hails from Helsinki, Finland and Arttu Rautiainen(15 - 10(2) - 1) from Tampere, Finland.  Makinen weighed in at 154 pounds, while Rautiainen weighed in at 153 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Eerikki Vuorio, and the three ringside judges are Salomo Wirta, Kusti Hannula and Aatami Ollila.  

Round 1: 

Makinen finds the target with a jab.  
Makinen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Makinen waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Rautiainen hits home with an overhand left.  
Makinen lands a cross.  Makinen attempts to land a right hook, but Rautiainen sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Makinen tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a hard jab.  
Makinen attempts to land a jab, but Rautiainen blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Rautiainen manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Rautiainen connects with a cross.  
Rautiainen pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Rautiainen advances into close range.  Rautiainen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Makinen lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Makinen feints a right hook, and then lands with a stiff jab.  
Makinen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Makinen feints a cross, and then lands a spiteful jab.  
Makinen tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Makinen steps away from his opponent.  Rautiainen throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Makinen lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Makinen is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Rautiainen almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Rautiainen is looking to close the distance.  Makinen lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Makinen tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Rautiainen almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Makinen lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Makinen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rautiainen's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Makinen tries to keep the action at long range and lands a spiteful jab.  
Makinen feints a cross, tricking Rautiainen into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Makinen springs the trap and counters with  a right hook.  
Makinen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Makinen feints a right hook, but Rautiainen does not fall for it and is on target with a right hook.  
Makinen pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Makinen steps away from his opponent and drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Makinen drives a right hook into Rautiainen's body.  
Makinen throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Rautiainen manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Makinen lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Makinen switches the action to the outside and lands a ramrod jab.  
Makinen lands a big cross.  RAUTIAINEN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Makinen lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Makinen thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Rautiainen away.  Makinen is on target with a nasty right uppercut.  RAUTIAINEN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Makinen lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS RAUTIAINEN DOWN!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Rautiainen can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Makinen!
