Noah Downie vs John MacKenzie

Boxing Daily Report from the Mudenda Promotions promoted show at Chesapeake McKenzie, Chesapeake,  taking place on 02/03/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Virginia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Noah Downie (9 - 9(5)) who hails from Virginia Beach, USA and John MacKenzie(13 - 10(1) - 3) from Chesapeake, USA.  Both Downie and MacKenzie weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Higgins, and the three ringside judges are Jamie McClennen, Thomas Miller and Hugh McGuinness.  

Round 1: 

MacKenzie attempts to land a jab, but Downie sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Downie is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Downie manages to force MacKenzie into the corner.  Downie lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

MacKenzie pivots to the left of his opponent.  Downie hits home with a solid left uppercut.  MacKenzie wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Downie dabs at his face checking for damage.  Downie has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
