Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Waikato promoted show at Chris Cowen Gym, Hamilton,  taking place on 26/04/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Waikato Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Gatt (6 - 4) who hails from Hamilton, New Zealand and Richie Bankes(4 - 8 - 1) from Hamilton, New Zealand.  Gatt weighed in at 125 pounds And 14 ounces, while Bankes weighed in at 125 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joe Catanach, and the three ringside judges are Eti Manihera, Leo Touch and Eti Manihera.

Gatt wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Bankes.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
