Drud Kurr vs Lotario Helmke

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Koelnmesse, Cologne,  taking place on 05/08/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are The German Giant Drud Kurr (32(26) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Lotario Helmke(5 - 7 - 4) from Munich, Germany.  Kurr weighed in at 248 pounds and 4 ounces, while Helmke weighed in at 241 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Adalwine Pfendler, and the three ringside judges are Harmon Schmidt, Willard Kronberger and Dieter Jonas.  

Round 1: 

Kurr lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Kurr lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Helmke gets on the inside.  Kurr crashes a nasty left hook to his opponents liver.  HELMKE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Helmke dabs at his face checking for damage.  Helmke almost instantly recovers. 
Helmke advances into close range.  Kurr sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Helmke quickly recovers. 
Kurr quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and SLAMS a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  HELMKE IS HURT!  Helmke quickly recovers. 
Kurr is on target with a cross.  
Helmke steps inside and manages to force Kurr onto the ropes.  Kurr throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Kurr holds on to his opponent.  Kurr is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kurr to stop fouling.  
Helmke quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Helmke tries to land a jab, but Kurr blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kurr is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kurr lands a spiteful jab.  
Kurr is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Kurr lands a stinging cross.  
Kurr is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Kurr throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kurr lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr attempts to land a cross, but Helmke sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kurr steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Helmke gets on the inside.  Helmke pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kurr lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Helmke's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Helmke's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Helmke's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Helmke is looking to close the distance.  Kurr pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kurr throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Kurr holds on to his opponent.  Helmke throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.
