Fanuco Lua vs Carlos Bermudes

Boxing Daily Report from the Joram Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Yepes, Montevideo,  taking place on 03/10/2027:

Clearly Joram Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Fanuco Lua (1 - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Carlos Bermudes(8 - 10(1) - 1) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Lua weighed in at 256 pounds And 3 ounces, while Bermudes weighed in at 257 pounds And 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Roman Bilbao, and the three ringside judges are Franco Berrones, Franco Berrones and Elias Isabella.

Lua throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lua advances into close range and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Lua lands a jab to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Lua closes the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  Lua ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Bermudes pushes his forearm into Lua's face.  The ref breaks Lua's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Lua advances into close range.  Lua quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Bermudes wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lua dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Lua.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

As they grapple, Bermudes pushes his forearm into Lua's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bermudes to stop fouling.
