George Kotei vs Vail Lizarazu

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Abrankese Stadium, Kumasi,  taking place on 20/02/2026:

Clearly African Fusion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Western African Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat 1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are George Kotei (13 - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Vail Lizarazu(15 - 2 - 1) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  Both Kotei and Lizarazu weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vincent Lamptey, and the three ringside judges are Tamarius Ankomah, Otieno Adomah and Mason Attoh.
