Boxing Daily Report from the Brisbane World Boxing Championships 2039,  taking place on 13/09/2039 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching the broadcast live from around the world, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mario Veltroni (54(18) - 32) who hails from Naples, Italy and Wiktor Sojka(27(1) - 12(1)) from Gdynia, Poland.  

Round 1:

Veltroni lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND SENDS SOJKA TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Sojka almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Sojka closes the distance.  Veltroni drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Veltroni is looking to keep his distance.  Sojka lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Sojka gets on the inside.  Veltroni lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Sojka quickly recovers.

Sojka pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to Veltroni's liver.  
Sojka hits home with an overhand right.  
Sojka closes the distance.  Veltroni drives a left hook into Sojka's ribs.  Veltroni goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Sojka to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Veltroni and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Veltroni tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and an overhand right to the head.  
Sojka advances into close range.  Veltroni drives a right hook into Sojka's body.  Veltroni attempts to land a left hook, but Sojka dodges the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Veltroni switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Sojka slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Veltroni lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES SOJKA!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Veltroni!
