Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/06/2039 from San Antonio, USA:

The San Antonio venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Baird (17 - 3) who hails from Houston, USA and Brad McCleod(0 - 5) from Boston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Baird pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging left hook.  
McCleod steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Baird sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Baird lands a sharp jab.  
Baird advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Baird gets on the inside and drives a left hook into McCleod's body.

McCleod sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Baird throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Baird advances into close range.  Baird quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Baird drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Baird steps inside and manouvers McCleod into the corner.  Baird lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Baird lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Baird pivots to the side of his opponent, but McCleod lands a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Baird's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Baird pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Baird voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  McCleod steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Baird switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Baird hits home with a solid cross.  
Baird lands a solid jab.  
McCleod pivots to the side of his opponent, but Baird drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
McCleod attempts to land a jab, but Baird dodges the shot and counters with a firm left hook.

Baird tries to step out of his opponents range.  McCleod hits home with a cross.  
McCleod sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Baird lands a double jab to his opponents head.
