Alejandro Calvo vs Juan Canseco

Boxing Daily Report from the Mexico National Finals 2038,  taking place on 11/04/2038 from Tonala, Mexico:

The Tonala venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Calvo (5 - 10) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Juan Canseco(24(10) - 17) from Chimalhuacan, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Calvo drives a firm jab into his opponents body.  
Canseco is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.

Calvo is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Calvo hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Calvo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Canseco steps inside and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Canseco lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Canseco advances into close range.  Calvo throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Calvo is on target with a right hook.  
Canseco walks Calvo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Canseco lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Canseco gets on the inside.  Calvo lands a right uppercut.  Calvo throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Calvo connects with a right hook.  Canseco clinches his opponent.  Calvo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Canseco connects with a telling left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE CALVO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Calvo recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Canseco slams a big left hook into his opponents body.  CALVO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Canseco walks Calvo onto the ropes.  Canseco lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Calvo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Calvo snaps his opponents head back with a hard jab.  
Canseco steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Canseco ties up his opponent.  Canseco is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Canseco lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Canseco slams a mean right uppercut into Calvo's ribcage.  CALVO IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Canseco ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Canseco pushes his forearm into Calvo's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Canseco.  
Calvo is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Calvo is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Canseco steps inside and drives a right hook into Calvo's ribcage.  
Canseco closes the distance.  Calvo throws a right hook, but Canseco holds on to his opponent.  Canseco is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Canseco's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Calvo steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Canseco gets on the inside and drives a sharp left uppercut into Calvo's body.  
Calvo hits home with a left hook.

Canseco steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Canseco manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Canseco lands a stinging left hook.  
Calvo throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Calvo hits home with a hard jab.  
Canseco closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Calvo's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Canseco lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS CALVO!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Calvo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Canseco stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Canseco lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS CALVO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!
