Shinji Kobashigawa vs John McNeil

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/11/2037 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Shinji Kobashigawa (22(1) - 9) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and John McNeil(1 - 1) from Charlotte, USA.  

Round 1: 

McNeil lands a left hook.  
McNeil tries to keep the action at long range.  Kobashigawa lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Kobashigawa advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Kobashigawa ties up his opponent.  Kobashigawa pushes his forearm into McNeil's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kobashigawa about fouling.  
McNeil is on target with a right uppercut to Kobashigawa's ribcage.  
Kobashigawa digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Kobashigawa sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kobashigawa steps inside and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
McNeil throws a right hook, but Kobashigawa ties up his opponent.  Kobashigawa is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kobashigawa closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McNeil tries to keep the action at long range.  Kobashigawa lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
McNeil drives a left hook into Kobashigawa's liver.  
Kobashigawa is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Kobashigawa gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  Kobashigawa clinches his opponent.  Kobashigawa uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McNeil behind the head. The referee warns Kobashigawa and breaks the clinch.  
Kobashigawa steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
McNeil is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Kobashigawa lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Kobashigawa holds on to his opponent.  Kobashigawa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McNeil switches the action to the outside.  Kobashigawa attempts to land a jab, but McNeil blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McNeil is on target with a right uppercut.

Kobashigawa throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives McNeil time to recover.  
McNeil is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kobashigawa lands a ramrod jab.  
Kobashigawa lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Kobashigawa advances into close range.  McNeil drives a left hook into Kobashigawa's body.  
Kobashigawa walks McNeil onto the ropes.  McNeil is on target with a sharp left hook.  
McNeil attempts to land a right hook, but Kobashigawa slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Kobashigawa lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kobashigawa lands a sharp right hook.  
Kobashigawa walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kobashigawa lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
McNeil drives a left hook into Kobashigawa's body.

McNeil throws a left uppercut, but Kobashigawa holds on to his opponent.  McNeil tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kobashigawa behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns McNeil to stop fouling.  
McNeil sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Kobashigawa is on target with a left hook to McNeil's body.  
Kobashigawa drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
McNeil walks Kobashigawa onto the ropes.  McNeil pivots to the left of his opponent.  McNeil attempts to land a left hook, but Kobashigawa blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kobashigawa closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Kobashigawa lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kobashigawa lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McNeil throws a left hook, but Kobashigawa ties up his opponent.  McNeil leans on his opponent using all his weight. Kobashigawa tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McNeil's kidney. The ref breaks Kobashigawa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...McNeil's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Kobashigawa closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Kobashigawa attempts to land a left hook, but McNeil blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Kobashigawa is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kobashigawa pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
McNeil quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Kobashigawa lands a spiteful jab.  
Kobashigawa is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Kobashigawa gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McNeil almost instantly recovers.
