Jesus Blando vs Antonio Acosta

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 02/11/2037 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jesus Blando (55 - 4) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Antonio Acosta(1 - 1) from Curitiba, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Blando lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Acosta is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Blando pivots to the side of his opponent.  Blando attempts to land a left uppercut, but Acosta slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Blando's liver.

Blando throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Blando ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Acosta pushes his forearm into Blando's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Acosta to stop fouling.

Blando feints a left hook, and then hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Acosta is looking to close the distance.  Acosta pivots to the right of his opponent.  Acosta throws a right hook, but Blando holds on to his opponent.  Blando leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Blando's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Blando is looking to keep his distance.  Blando feints a right, and then hits home with a stiff jab.  
Acosta hits home with a left hook.  Acosta attempts to land a left hook, but Blando parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Blando steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.

Blando voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Acosta accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Blando.
