Joe Leishman vs Chris McNeilly

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/04/2037 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joe Leishman (45 - 10) who hails from Tallahassee, USA and Chris McNeilly(1 - 0) from Lowell, USA.  

Round 1: 

Leishman lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Leishman tries to keep the action at long range.  Leishman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Leishman is looking to keep the action on the outside.  McNeilly tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Leishman lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
McNeilly advances into close range.  Leishman drives a right hook into McNeilly's ribcage.  
Leishman hits home with a stinging overhand right.  
Leishman is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left.  
Leishman lands a ramrod jab.  
Leishman steps away from his opponent and lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
McNeilly cuts off the ring, trapping Leishman on the ropes.  Leishman digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
McNeilly closes the distance.  McNeilly pivots from in front of his opponent.  McNeilly connects with a left hook.  Leishman ties up his opponent.  McNeilly is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McNeilly gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Leishman ties up his opponent.  Leishman tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McNeilly's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Leishman to stop fouling.  
Leishman is looking to keep his distance.  Leishman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
McNeilly is looking to close the distance.  McNeilly pivots to the right of his opponent.  Leishman throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Leishman clinches his opponent.  McNeilly is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Leishman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Leishman steps to the outside.  Leishman feints a left, and then lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Leishman attempts to land a jab, but McNeilly slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leishman's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

McNeilly throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Leishman is looking to keep his distance and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
McNeilly tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Leishman hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Leishman drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Leishman is on target with a jab.  
McNeilly gets on the inside.  Leishman lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Leishman steps away from his opponent.  Leishman feints a left, and then lands a ramrod jab.  
McNeilly steps inside.  Leishman lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.
