Alejandro Cedeno vs Diego Cepero

Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/04/2037 from San Juan, Puerto Rico:

The San Juan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Cedeno (7 - 16) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Diego Cepero(10 - 9) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1:

Cedeno tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Cedeno sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Cepero lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cepero closes the distance.  Cepero pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  Cepero attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Cedeno time to recover.  
Cedeno steps away from his opponent.  Cedeno sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Cepero gets on the inside and manages to force Cedeno into the corner.  Cedeno drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Cedeno steps to the outside.  Cedeno sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a firm overhand right.  
Cedeno switches the action to the outside.  Cedeno feints a jab, tricking Cepero into throwing a cross counter.  Cedeno avoids the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cepero is on target with a firm cross.
