Ethan Cowan vs Leon Probert

Boxing Daily Report from the Bahamas National Finals 2037,  taking place on 17/03/2037 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ethan Cowan (12 - 22) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Leon Probert(30(2) - 10(1)) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1: 

Cowan steps to the outside and throws an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Cowan's body.  
Probert closes the distance.  Probert pivots from in front of his opponent.  Cowan throws a left uppercut, but Probert ties up his opponent.  Probert leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Probert pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Probert cuts off the ring, trapping Cowan on the ropes.  Probert pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Probert quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cowan steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Probert advances into close range.  Probert pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a solid left hook to Cowan's liver.  
Probert pivots to the left of his opponent.  Probert throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Probert ties up his opponent.  Probert tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cowan behind the head. The referee warns Probert and breaks the clinch.  
Probert throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Probert holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Probert pushes his forearm into Cowan's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Probert.  
Probert feints a right hook, and then attempts to land a cross, but Cowan blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Probert closes the distance.  Probert pivots to the left of his opponent, but Cowan digs in a right hook to Probert's body.  
Cowan lands a sharp right hook.  
Cowan throws a right hook, but Probert holds on to his opponent.  Cowan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Probert pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into Cowan's body.  
Probert drives a solid left hook into Cowan's body.  
Probert lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Probert lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Probert gets on the inside.  Probert steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Cowan steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Probert's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
