Boxing Daily Report from the El Salvador National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/03/2037 from Santa Ana, El Salvador:

The Santa Ana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Rayas (8 - 18) who hails from San Salvador, El Salvador and Jerrold Lavin(13(5) - 7) from San Miguel, El Salvador.  

Round 1: 

Lavin is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rayas lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Lavin closes the distance and drives a right hook into Rayas's body.  
Lavin gets on the inside.  Rayas lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Rayas steps to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Rayas tries to land a jab, but Lavin slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Lavin advances into close range and manouvers Rayas onto the ropes.  Rayas connects with a firm right hook.  Rayas attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Lavin's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Rayas is on target with a hard jab.  
Lavin gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Lavin clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rayas pushes his forearm into Lavin's face.  The referee warns Rayas and breaks the clinch.  
Rayas tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a solid jab.  
Lavin advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rayas switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rayas feints a left hook, and then drives a jab into Lavin's body.  
Lavin is looking to close the distance and lands a solid left hook.  Lavin ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Lavin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lavin digs in a right hook to Rayas's body.  
Lavin is on target with a left hook to Rayas's body.  
Rayas tries to keep the action at long range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Lavin gets on the inside and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Rayas parries the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lavin lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rayas tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rayas throws a left hook, but Lavin holds on to his opponent.  Lavin pushes his forearm into Rayas's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lavin pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rayas throws a left hook, but Lavin clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Lavin pushes his forearm into Rayas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lavin about fouling.  
Rayas connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Lavin lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rayas throws a left hook, but Lavin clinches his opponent.  Lavin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Lavin pushes his forearm into Rayas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lavin about fouling.  
Rayas lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  Lavin clinches his opponent.  Lavin hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Lavin lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND RAYAS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Rayas almost instantly recovers. 
Rayas is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.

Lavin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rayas throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Rayas throws a left hook, but Lavin ties up his opponent.  Lavin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lavin walks Rayas down, trapping him on the ropes.  Lavin lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS RAYAS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Lavin ties up his opponent.  Lavin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Lavin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lavin senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Lavin drives a forceful left hook into Rayas's body.  RAYAS IS DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT RAYAS IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Lavin!
