Boxing Daily Report from the Ecuador National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/03/2037 from Manta, Ecuador:

The Manta venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dimos Zarco (12 - 18) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Franco Abella(42(13) - 28(1)) from Manta, Ecuador.

Abella quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Zarco connects with a left hook.  Abella ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Abella pushes his forearm into Zarco's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Abella lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Abella lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Zarco is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Abella dodges the shot and counters with a weighty left hook to his opponents liver.  ZARCO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Abella advances into close range and whips in a hurtful right uppercut to his opponents body.  ZARCO IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Zarco now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Abella manouvers Zarco onto the ropes.  Abella drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Abella holds on to his opponent.  Abella pushes his forearm into Zarco's face.  The ref breaks Abella's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Zarco steps to the outside.  Zarco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Zarco throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Zarco connects with a solid overhand right.  
Zarco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Zarco tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a nasty cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE ZARCO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Zarco almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Abella gets on the inside and is on target with a solid left hook to Zarco's ribs.  Abella holds on to his opponent.  Abella pushes his forearm into Zarco's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Abella.  
Abella lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  Abella tries to land a left hook, but Zarco parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Zarco is on target with a jab.  
Abella closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Zarco is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.

Abella closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.

Zarco switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Zarco throws a right hook, but Abella holds on to his opponent.  Abella throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Abella and breaks the clinch.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Zarco's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Abella closes the distance and digs in a firm right hook to Zarco's ribs.  
Abella is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Zarco quickly recovers.
