Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/03/2037 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rafael Pineda (8 - 8(1)) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Sancho Cuellar(15(1) - 12(1)) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1:

Cuellar closes the distance.  Cuellar pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Cuellar walks Pineda into the corner.  Cuellar lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pineda throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pineda drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Pineda throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Cuellar drives a right hook into Pineda's ribcage.  
Pineda steps away from his opponent.  Cuellar lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Pineda drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Cuellar connects with a stinging overhand right.

Cuellar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Cuellar connects with a solid left hook.  
Cuellar advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cuellar connects with a right hook.  
Cuellar DETONATES a hurtful right hook on his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE PINEDA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Cuellar is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Cuellar lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND SENDS PINEDA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  It looks like Pineda has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Pineda's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!  Cuellar's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
