Boxing Daily Report from the Argentina National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/03/2037 from Salta, Argentina:

The Salta venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Manny Giraldo (8 - 11) who hails from Rosario, Argentina and Pancho Vegas(12 - 7(2)) from Buenos Aires, Argentina.  

Round 1: 

Vegas finds the target with a jab.  Vegas attempts to land a jab, but Giraldo sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Vegas gets on the inside.  Vegas pivots to the right of his opponent.  Vegas lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Vegas attempts to land a right uppercut, but Giraldo slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Giraldo steps away from his opponent and lands with a solid jab.  
Giraldo feints a right hook, and then lands three consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Vegas steps inside and is on target with a solid left hook.

Vegas drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Giraldo steps away from his opponent.  Vegas is on target with an overhand left.  Vegas throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Giraldo attempts to land a left uppercut, but Vegas blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Vegas lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Vegas clinches his opponent.  Giraldo pushes his forearm into Vegas's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Giraldo tries to step out of his opponents range.  Vegas tries to land a jab, but Giraldo slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Vegas gets on the inside.  Giraldo throws a left uppercut, but Vegas ties up his opponent.  Vegas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Giraldo behind the head. Vegas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Vegas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Giraldo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Vegas connects with a cross.  
Giraldo tries to land a jab, but Vegas slips the shot and counters with a potent right uppercut to Giraldo's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE GIRALDO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Vegas is looking to close the distance and walks Giraldo onto the ropes.  Vegas stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Vegas crashes a hurtful right hook to his opponents body.  GIRALDO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Giraldo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Giraldo tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Vegas slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Vegas switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Vegas advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Vegas ties up his opponent.  Vegas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Giraldo behind the head. Giraldo pushes his forearm into Vegas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Giraldo about fouling.  
Vegas walks Giraldo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Vegas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Vegas is on target with a right hook.  
Vegas digs in a telling right uppercut to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE GIRALDO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Vegas throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vegas senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Vegas lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND SENDS GIRALDO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Vegas is looking to close the distance.  Vegas lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DROPS GIRALDO!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Vegas!
