Zernebog Ahmadov vs James Selby

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/02/2037 from Dushanbe, Tajikistan:

The Dushanbe venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Zernebog Ahmadov (18 - 11) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and James Selby(4 - 8) from Halifax, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Selby advances into close range and manouvers Ahmadov into the blue corner.  Selby lands a right hook.  
Selby lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ahmadov lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ahmadov lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ahmadov switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ahmadov hits home with a cross.  Ahmadov tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ahmadov drives a jab into Selby's body.  
Selby gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Ahmadov lands a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ahmadov's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Selby closes the distance.  Ahmadov digs in a right hook to Selby's body.  
Selby is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Selby pivots to the left of his opponent, but Ahmadov lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ahmadov is looking to keep his distance.  Ahmadov sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with an overhand left.  
Ahmadov sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Ahmadov steps to the outside.  Ahmadov is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Selby throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Selby closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Selby walks his opponent into a corner.  Ahmadov digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ahmadov connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Ahmadov is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ahmadov lands a left hook.
