The Mexico City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ryo Gonzalez (23 - 9) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Rafael Alfonso(0 - 1) from Tehuacan, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Alfonso switches the action to the outside and throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.

Gonzalez closes the distance.  Alfonso throws a right hook, but Gonzalez clinches his opponent.  Gonzalez leans on his opponent using all his weight. Gonzalez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Alfonso behind the head. The ref breaks Gonzalez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Alfonso sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Gonzalez lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Alfonso throws a right hook, but Gonzalez clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gonzalez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Alfonso is looking to keep the action on the outside and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Gonzalez advances into close range and forces Alfonso to back into the ropes.  Gonzalez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
