Roger Hughes vs Vince Bonner

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/01/2037 from Leeds, UK:

The Leeds venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Roger Hughes (6 - 4) who hails from Bolton, UK and Vince Bonner(0 - 9) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1:

Bonner manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Bonner sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Hughes lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bonner gets on the inside.  Bonner pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Hughes's body.  Bonner throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Hughes time to recover.  
Bonner advances into close range.  Bonner quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Hughes connects with a left uppercut.  
Bonner hits home with a cross.  
Bonner throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hughes feints a right hook, and then throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Bonner closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Bonner lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Bonner hits home with a right hook.  
Bonner steps inside and tries to land a right uppercut, but Hughes dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
