Aoi Kawaguchi vs Rob Gordon

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 20/01/2037 from Fukuoka, Japan:

The Fukuoka venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Aoi Kawaguchi (10 - 8) who hails from Fukuoka, Japan and Rob Gordon(1 - 0) from Spanish Town, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Kawaguchi feints a right hook, and then lands a stinging jab.  
Kawaguchi closes the distance.  Gordon hits home with a firm left hook.  
Kawaguchi connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Kawaguchi sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Gordon is on target with an overhand left.  
Kawaguchi is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Kawaguchi is looking to close the distance.  Kawaguchi pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Kawaguchi pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Gordon's ribs.

Kawaguchi closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Kawaguchi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kawaguchi throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Gordon to the neutral corner.  He warns Kawaguchi that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.

Gordon tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Kawaguchi finds the target with a solid jab.  
Kawaguchi pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Gordon attempts to land a left hook, but Kawaguchi blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kawaguchi strikes his opponents body with a sharp cross.  
Gordon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kawaguchi's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Gordon pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Kawaguchi steps away from his opponent and drives a cross into Gordon's body.  
Kawaguchi is on target with a jab to Gordon's body.  
Gordon connects with an overhand left.  Gordon throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Gordon's ribs.

Kawaguchi tries to keep the action at long range and drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
Kawaguchi throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Gordon time to recover.
