David Swanson vs Sagaz Colmenares

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 21/12/2036 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Swanson (37(1) - 7) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Sagaz Colmenares(6 - 18(1)) from Matamoros, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Swanson gets on the inside.  Colmenares throws a left hook, but Swanson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Swanson pushes his forearm into Colmenares's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Colmenares lands a left hook.  Colmenares throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut to Colmenares's body.  
Swanson lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Swanson pushes his forearm into Colmenares's face.  The referee warns Swanson and breaks the clinch.  
Swanson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Colmenares throws a left hook, but Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Swanson is on target with a right hook.  
Colmenares lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Colmenares cuts off the ring, trapping Swanson on the ropes.  Colmenares sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Swanson throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Swanson lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a jab to the head.  
Colmenares is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Swanson digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Swanson steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Colmenares throws a left hook, but Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Swanson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Swanson lands a jab.  Swanson tries to land a right hook, but Colmenares blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Swanson advances into close range and is on target with a right uppercut to Colmenares's body.  
Swanson lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Swanson forces Colmenares to retreat onto the ropes.  Swanson drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.
