David Rowan vs Louis Basque

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/12/2036 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Rowan (43 - 12) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Louis Basque(2 - 19(2)) from Yaoundé, Cameroon.  

Round 1: 

Rowan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Rowan drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Rowan walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Rowan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Basque connects with a stinging left hook.  Basque attempts to land a left hook, but Rowan blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Rowan advances into close range and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Rowan connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Basque connects with a cross.  
Rowan lands a stinging jab.  
Basque gets on the inside.  Rowan connects with a left hook.  
Rowan steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Basque sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Rowan lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Rowan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Basque gets on the inside.  Rowan hits home with a left hook.  
Rowan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Rowan switches the action to the outside.  Basque finds the target with a jab.  
Rowan lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Rowan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Basque's body.  
Rowan advances into close range.  Rowan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Rowan tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rowan's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Rowan voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Basque accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Rowan.
