Jiro Miki vs Robert Cowen

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/12/2036 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jiro Miki (61 - 7) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Robert Cowen(1 - 7) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1: 

Miki steps inside.  Miki pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Miki manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Miki quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Miki lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Cowen lands a solid jab.  
Miki tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
Miki closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Miki lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Miki connects with a left hook.  
Miki is on target with a stinging jab.  
Cowen is on target with a left hook to Miki's liver.  
Cowen strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Miki gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Miki lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Miki quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Cowen's liver.  
Cowen finds the target with a jab.  
Miki closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Cowen steps to the outside.  Miki throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Miki's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Miki attempts to land a jab, but Cowen slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cowen forces Miki to back into the ropes.  Cowen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Miki hits the target with a solid jab.  
Miki lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Cowen lands a jab.  
Miki tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Miki quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Miki lands a stiff jab.  
Cowen tries to land a cross, but Miki sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Cowen's ribcage.  
Cowen manouvers Miki onto the ropes.  Miki connects with a sharp left hook.  
Cowen pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cowen is on target with a stinging cross.  Cowen throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Miki snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Cowen attempts to land a left hook, but Miki slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook to Cowen's body.  
Miki is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Miki is on target with a jab.
