Leo Baird vs Paul McDermott

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 13/11/2036 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Leo Baird (32 - 3) who hails from Jacksonville, USA and Paul McDermott(1 - 0) from Omaha, USA.  

Round 1: 

Baird is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a jab.  
Baird steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
McDermott feints a left hook, and then hits home with a sharp jab.  
McDermott walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  McDermott lands a right uppercut.  
McDermott pivots from in front of his opponent, but Baird lands a jab, cross and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Baird tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a stinging jab.  
McDermott steps to the outside.  McDermott sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Baird hits home with an overhand right.  
Baird lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Baird drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Baird advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Baird steps inside.  Baird pivots to the side of his opponent.  Baird lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Baird holds on to his opponent.  Baird leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Baird's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
