Roman Lastra vs Chris Ridao

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 05/09/2036 from Asuncion, Paraguay:

The Asuncion venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Roman Lastra (3 - 0) who hails from Asuncion, Paraguay and Chris Ridao(1 - 1) from Lapu-Lapu, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Ridao pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lastra lands with a solid jab.  Lastra tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Lastra gets on the inside.  Ridao digs in a right hook to Lastra's ribcage.

Lastra steps away from his opponent and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lastra steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Ridao sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ridao forces Lastra to back into the blue corner.  Ridao lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ridao pivots from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Lastra switches the action to the outside and connects with a firm cross.  
Lastra lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Lastra lands a sharp cross.  
Lastra attempts to land a cross, but Ridao dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ridao hits home with a cross.  
Lastra finds the target with a jab.

Ridao leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Lastra accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Ridao.  
Ridao is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Lastra throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
