Gus Gough vs Mel Hardie

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/08/2036 from Chicago, USA:

The Chicago venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gus Gough (38 - 5) who hails from Chicago, USA and Mel Hardie(7 - 13) from Indianapolis, USA.  

Round 1: 

Hardie lands a left hook.  
Gough pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Hardie lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  Hardie tries to land a jab, but Gough blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Gough drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Gough connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Gough sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Hardie is on target with a right hook.  
Gough sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Hardie lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gough pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Gough closes the distance.  Gough pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Gough lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Gough closes the distance.  Hardie lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gough steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Hardie tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gough throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Gough closes the distance.  Gough sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Hardie sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Gough lands a sharp left uppercut.

Hardie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Gough hits home with a hard jab.  
Gough sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a solid cross into his opponents body.  
Gough sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gough sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a sharp jab.  
Gough is looking to close the distance.  Gough pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gough lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Gough tries to land a left hook, but Hardie slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Hardie switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gough lands a stinging left uppercut.  
Gough lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gough gets on the inside and connects with a left uppercut.  
Gough backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Hardie accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Gough.  Hardie lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Hardie pivots to the right of his opponent, but Gough lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Hardie pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gough tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Gough finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Gough's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Hardie's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!
