Michael Catterson vs Mason Jones

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/06/2036 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Michael Catterson (52(3) - 15) who hails from New York City, USA and Mason Jones(0 - 0) from Birmingham, USA.  

Round 1: 

Catterson closes the distance.  Catterson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Jones throws a left uppercut, but Catterson clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Catterson pushes his forearm into Jones's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Catterson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Catterson gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Jones tries to keep the action at long range.  Catterson lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Catterson lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Jones sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Jones quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but  throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Jones time to recover.  
Jones walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Jones throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Jones's liver.  
Catterson lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Catterson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Jones throws a right hook, but Catterson holds on to his opponent.  Catterson uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Jones behind the head. Jones pushes his forearm into Catterson's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Catterson manouvers Jones onto the ropes.  Catterson throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Catterson clinches his opponent.  Catterson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Jones pushes his forearm into Catterson's face.  The referee warns Jones and breaks the clinch.  
Catterson lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  Catterson ties up his opponent.  Catterson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Jones's kidney. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Catterson is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Catterson ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Catterson pushes his forearm into Jones's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Catterson about fouling.  
Catterson lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Catterson lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Catterson lands a jab.  
Jones attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Catterson time to recover.  
Catterson advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Jones switches the action to the outside.  Catterson is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Catterson gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Catterson hits home with a firm right hook.  
Catterson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Catterson lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Catterson lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Catterson ties up his opponent.  Catterson throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Jones lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Jones tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Catterson lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Catterson senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Catterson is on target with a forceful left hook to Jones's liver.  JONES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Catterson digs in a weighty right uppercut to his opponents body.  JONES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Catterson!
