Rob Ashley vs John Higgins

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/06/2036 from San Antonio, USA:

The San Antonio venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rob Ashley (24 - 12) who hails from Houston, USA and John Higgins(1 - 2) from Milwaukee, USA.  

Round 1: 

Ashley switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Ashley steps to the outside.  Higgins is on target with a jab.  
Ashley lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Higgins advances into close range and is on target with a solid left uppercut to Ashley's ribs.  
Higgins tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ashley lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Higgins walks Ashley onto the ropes.  Ashley is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Higgins's body.  
Ashley lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Higgins is looking to close the distance.  Higgins pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Higgins advances into close range and forces Ashley to back into the corner.  Higgins is on target with a right hook.  
Ashley switches the action to the outside and lands a cross, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Ashley lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Higgins gets on the inside.  Higgins quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Ashley hits home with a left uppercut.  
Higgins voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ashley is whaling away with hooks, but Higgins keeps his defence tight.  Ashley lands a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ashley's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Higgins steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Ashley dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ashley switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Ashley lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ashley connects with a right hook.  
Higgins hits home with a solid left hook.  
Ashley pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Higgins's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Higgins lands a right hook.  Ashley holds on to his opponent.  Higgins is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Ashley's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
