Majid Maududi vs Hemant Shokeen

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/05/2036 from New Delhi, India:

The New Delhi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Majid Maududi (4 - 3) who hails from New Delhi, India and Hemant Shokeen(0 - 1) from Mumbai, India.  

Round 1: 

Shokeen advances into close range.  Maududi connects with a left hook.  
Shokeen is on target with a jab.  
Shokeen steps inside.  Maududi connects with a left hook.  
Shokeen steps inside and manouvers Maududi into a neutral corner.  Shokeen lands a firm left hook.

Shokeen walks Maududi down, trapping him in the corner.  Maududi throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Shokeen's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Shokeen gets on the inside and tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Maududi is looking to keep his distance.  Shokeen throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Maududi to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Shokeen and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Shokeen closes the distance.  Maududi is on target with a right uppercut.  
Maududi lands an overhand right to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Shokeen gets on the inside.  Shokeen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid left hook.  
Shokeen manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Shokeen is on target with a left uppercut.  
Shokeen is on target with a solid left hook.  
Shokeen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.

Maududi feints a jab, and then lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Maududi steps away from his opponent and hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Maududi lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Shokeen advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Shokeen lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Maududi tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a stinging jab.  
Shokeen is on target with an overhand right.  
Maududi steps away from his opponent.  Maududi feints a cross, and then lands a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Maududi's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
