Andy Saul vs Gordon McClenathan

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/05/2036 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Andy Saul (36(1) - 11) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Gordon McClenathan(3 - 3) from Oklahoma City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Saul lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McClenathan lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Saul is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Saul ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Saul pushes his forearm into McClenathan's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Saul.  
Saul steps inside and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Saul closes the distance.  McClenathan throws a left uppercut, but Saul ties up his opponent.  Saul tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McClenathan behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Saul advances into close range.  McClenathan is on target with a solid right hook.  
McClenathan pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Saul closes the distance.  McClenathan is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Saul steps inside and forces McClenathan to back into a corner.  Saul drives a right uppercut into McClenathan's ribs.  
Saul connects with a left hook.  Saul holds on to his opponent.  Saul is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. McClenathan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Saul behind the head. The ref breaks Saul's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McClenathan steps to the outside and drives a solid jab into his opponents face.

Saul gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Saul lands a left hook.  
Saul cuts off the ring, trapping McClenathan in a corner.  Saul hits home with a left hook.

Saul is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Saul lands a jab to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.
