The Toronto venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Merrill Bayard (7 - 3) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Leighton Handyside(9 - 13) from Toronto, Canada.  

Round 1:

Handyside steps inside and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Handyside clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Handyside pushes his forearm into Bayard's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Handyside is on target with a cross.  
Handyside lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Bayard drives a right uppercut into Handyside's ribs.  
Bayard drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Bayard switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Handyside gets on the inside.  Handyside quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bayard tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Handyside is looking to close the distance.  Bayard tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.
