Ian McClafferty vs Jonathan Dreyfus

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/04/2036 from Leeds, UK:

The Leeds venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian McClafferty (9 - 7) who hails from Doncaster, UK and Jonathan Dreyfus(5 - 9) from Birmingham, UK.  

Round 1: 

McClafferty is looking to close the distance.  McClafferty voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Dreyfus is whaling away with hooks, but McClafferty keeps his defence tight.  
Dreyfus lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  McClafferty hits home with a cross.  
McClafferty steps inside.  Dreyfus sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but McClafferty lands a solid left hook.  
McClafferty finds the target with a jab.  
McClafferty gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
McClafferty closes the distance.  Dreyfus sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but McClafferty is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Dreyfus's body.  
Dreyfus is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Dreyfus pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McClafferty lands a jab.  
McClafferty advances into close range.  Dreyfus sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dreyfus throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Dreyfus steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Dreyfus's ribcage.  
Dreyfus is looking to keep his distance and lands a solid overhand right.  
Dreyfus attempts to land a jab, but McClafferty blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.
