Boxing Daily Report from the Japan National Finals 2036,  taking place on 26/03/2036 from Fujisawa, Japan:

The Fujisawa venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kei Mizuno (14(7) - 12) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Daichi Kikuchi(1 - 1) from Tokyo, Japan.

Mizuno is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mizuno drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Kikuchi is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a hard jab.  
Mizuno advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mizuno lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mizuno lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Mizuno gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Mizuno holds on to his opponent.  Mizuno is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kikuchi throws a left uppercut, but Mizuno ties up his opponent.  Mizuno is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mizuno about fouling.

Mizuno is looking to close the distance.  Mizuno pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Mizuno closes the distance.  Kikuchi connects with a firm left hook.  Mizuno clinches his opponent.  Mizuno leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mizuno lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING KIKUCHI TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Kikuchi recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Mizuno is on target with a potent right hook to Kikuchi's ribs.  KIKUCHI IS HURT!  Kikuchi almost instantly recovers.

Mizuno lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mizuno ties up his opponent.  Kikuchi pushes his forearm into Mizuno's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kikuchi to stop fouling.  
Mizuno digs in a firm left hook to Kikuchi's body.  
Kikuchi lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Mizuno closes the distance.  Mizuno sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mizuno is looking to close the distance and digs in a solid left hook to Kikuchi's body.  Mizuno holds on to his opponent.  Mizuno uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Kikuchi behind the head. 
Mizuno finds the target with a solid jab.  
Mizuno gets on the inside and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Mizuno forces Kikuchi to retreat onto the ropes.  Mizuno pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mizuno digs in a left uppercut to Kikuchi's body.  
Mizuno lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Kikuchi now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mizuno digs in a right hook to Kikuchi's ribcage.  
Mizuno slams a big left uppercut into Kikuchi's liver.  KIKUCHI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mizuno forces Kikuchi to retreat onto the ropes.  Mizuno senses Kikuchi is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Mizuno whips in a spiteful right uppercut to Kikuchi's ribcage.  KIKUCHI IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT KIKUCHI CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Mizuno!
