Kenji Yoshida vs Noel Hearn

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 26/03/2036 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenji Yoshida (28 - 9) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Noel Hearn(0 - 3) from New York City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Yoshida finds the target with a jab.  
Yoshida lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Hearn is on target with a cross.  Hearn throws an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Yoshida lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Yoshida feints a left, and then finds the target with a jab.  
Yoshida steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Yoshida is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Hearn attempts to land a jab, but Yoshida sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Hearn attempts to land a left uppercut, but Yoshida blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

As they grapple, Yoshida pushes his forearm into Hearn's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Yoshida.

Yoshida feints a left hook, and then lands with a stiff jab.  
Yoshida sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Yoshida is on target with an overhand right.  Yoshida attempts to land a cross, but Hearn slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hearn is on target with a right hook.  
Yoshida is looking to keep his distance.  Yoshida feints a right hook, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Yoshida hits home with a cross.  
Yoshida lands a jab.  
Hearn lands an overhand left.  
Yoshida sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a jab to the body.  
Yoshida feints a cross, and then connects with a sharp overhand right.  
Hearn lands a ramrod jab.  
Hearn steps inside.  Yoshida lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hearn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Yoshida throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Yoshida holds on to his opponent.  Yoshida leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
