Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/03/2036 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Swanson (27 - 7) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Christof De Villiers(4 - 9) from Soweto, South Africa.  

Round 1: 

Swanson lands a sharp right hook.  
Swanson advances into close range and tries to land a left uppercut, but De Villiers slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
De Villiers throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
De Villiers switches the action to the outside.  De Villiers sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  De Villiers tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Swanson closes the distance.  Swanson pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a firm right hook.  
De Villiers steps away from his opponent and lands with a hard jab.  
De Villiers quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Swanson lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
De Villiers is on target with a cross.  
De Villiers manages to force Swanson onto the ropes.  De Villiers sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
De Villiers sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid jab.  
De Villiers is on target with a left hook to Swanson's body.  
De Villiers lands a stinging right hook.  
Swanson closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Swanson forces De Villiers to back into the ropes.  Swanson connects with a left hook.  
Swanson advances into close range.  Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Swanson lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Swanson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Swanson digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Swanson is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  Swanson attempts to land a left hook, but De Villiers blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Swanson lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
De Villiers attempts to land a jab, but Swanson blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.

Round 2: 

De Villiers throws a left uppercut, but Swanson ties up his opponent.  De Villiers pushes his forearm into Swanson's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns De Villiers to stop fouling.  
Swanson drives a firm right hook into De Villiers's ribs.  
Swanson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Swanson closes the distance and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Swanson drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Swanson pushes his forearm into De Villiers's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Swanson to stop fouling.  
Swanson lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Swanson hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Swanson walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  De Villiers is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Swanson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Swanson lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
De Villiers quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Swanson gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND KNOCKS DE VILLIERS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
De Villiers is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Swanson lands with a hard jab.  
Swanson lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Swanson lands a solid jab.  
Swanson lands with a stinging jab.  
Swanson lands with a spiteful jab.  
De Villiers quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Swanson steps inside and crashes a big right hook to his opponents ribcage.  DE VILLIERS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Swanson throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Swanson sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Swanson is on target with a telling right hook to De Villiers's body.  DE VILLIERS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like De Villiers has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
De Villiers pivots to the left of his opponent.  Swanson lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Swanson throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Swanson advances into close range and lands a sharp right hook.  Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on De Villiers's kidney. 
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...De Villiers's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Swanson is looking to close the distance.  Swanson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  De Villiers throws a left hook, but Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Swanson lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Swanson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Swanson lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  It looks like De Villiers has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Swanson throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives De Villiers time to recover.  
Swanson pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Swanson digs in a sharp left hook to De Villiers's body.  
Swanson manages to force De Villiers onto the ropes.  Swanson drives a left hook into De Villiers's ribs.  
Swanson throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Swanson crashes a big left hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE DE VILLIERS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Swanson senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Swanson lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS DE VILLIERS TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Swanson!
