Alvino Cubas vs Carlos Lora

Boxing Daily Report from the Dominican Republic National Finals 2036,  taking place on 11/03/2036 from San Felipe de Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic:

The San Felipe de Puerto Plata venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alvino Cubas (2 - 1) who hails from San Felipe de Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and Carlos Lora(9(5) - 8) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.  

Round 1: 

Lora is looking to close the distance and drives a solid left hook into Cubas's body.  
Cubas is looking to keep his distance and throws an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lora forces Cubas to back into the ropes.  Lora drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Lora clinches his opponent.  Lora uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Cubas behind the head. Lora pushes his forearm into Cubas's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lora to stop fouling.  
Lora digs in a left uppercut to Cubas's body.  
Lora is on target with a solid right hook to Cubas's ribs.  
Cubas tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a sharp jab.  
Lora advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Lora holds on to his opponent.  Cubas pushes his forearm into Lora's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cubas to stop fouling.  
Lora gets on the inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Cubas steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cubas lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Cubas tries to land a left hook, but Lora sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Lora lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Cubas quickly recovers. 
Cubas steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but Lora slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Cubas hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Cubas finds the target with a jab.  Cubas tries to land a jab, but Lora slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Lora closes the distance and lands a left hook.  
Lora is on target with a left hook.  Lora clinches his opponent.  Cubas pushes his forearm into Lora's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cubas to stop fouling.  
Lora throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Lora is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cubas lands a right uppercut.  
Lora throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Lora ties up his opponent.  Lora is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cubas attempts to land a right hook, but Lora sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Lora lands a right hook.  
Lora lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS CUBAS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Lora clinches his opponent.  Lora uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Cubas's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lora to stop fouling.

Cubas lands a right uppercut.  Lora clinches his opponent.  Cubas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lora behind the head. Lora throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Lora pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Cubas quickly recovers.

Lora lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cubas lands a jab.  
Cubas lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  Cubas tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Cubas lands a jab.  Cubas attempts to land a jab, but Lora dodges the shot and counters with a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Cubas switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Cubas's body.  
Lora steps inside.  Cubas hits home with a left hook.  
Lora lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lora throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Lora's body.  
Cubas lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Cubas tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Cubas is on target with a jab.  
Cubas lands a stinging jab.  
Cubas lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cubas strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Cubas hits home with an overhand right.  
Lora closes the distance.  Cubas tries to land a right uppercut, but Lora parries the shot and counters with a spiteful right uppercut to Cubas's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE CUBAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Cubas now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Lora cuts off the ring, trapping Cubas in the corner.  Lora lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lora is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Cubas's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Lora drives a weighty left hook into Cubas's body.  CUBAS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Lora!
