Jiro Miki vs Shinji Ikehara

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/03/2036 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jiro Miki (51 - 7) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Shinji Ikehara(3 - 16) from Kitakyushu, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Ikehara throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Miki's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Miki gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Miki connects with a right hook.  
Miki lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ikehara connects with a left hook.

Ikehara feints a jab, tricking Miki into countering with a right hook.  Ikehara springs the trap and counters with  a firm cross.  
Miki gets on the inside and drives a right uppercut into Ikehara's ribcage.  
Ikehara pivots to the side of his opponent, but Miki lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ikehara quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Ikehara manouvers Miki onto the ropes.  Ikehara sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ikehara tries to land a right uppercut, but Miki slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Ikehara attempts to land a jab, but Miki slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Miki steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Miki manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Miki hits home with a right uppercut.  
Miki is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Miki lands a left hook.  
Miki quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.

Miki throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Miki holds on to his opponent.  Ikehara pushes his forearm into Miki's face.  The referee warns Ikehara and breaks the clinch.  
Miki lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Miki attempts to land a right hook, but Ikehara sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Miki cuts off the ring, trapping Ikehara on the ropes.  Miki pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Miki drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  Miki clinches his opponent.  Ikehara leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Miki's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Miki hits home with a left hook.  
Ikehara throws a left hook, but Miki holds on to his opponent.  Miki leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Ikehara throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ikehara about fouling.

Ikehara sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ikehara tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.
