Darryl Flanagan vs Geoff Crafford

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 20/02/2036 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Darryl Flanagan (28 - 9) who hails from New York City, USA and Geoff Crafford(0 - 2) from Detroit, USA.  

Round 1: 

Crafford tries to land a left hook, but Flanagan blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Crafford digs in a right uppercut to Flanagan's body.  
Flanagan steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Flanagan closes the distance and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Flanagan gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Crafford is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Flanagan steps inside and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Flanagan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Flanagan gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Crafford steps away from his opponent.  Flanagan is on target with a sharp cross.  
Flanagan manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Flanagan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Flanagan lands a left uppercut.  
Crafford is on target with a left hook to Flanagan's body.  
Flanagan manages to force Crafford into a corner.  Flanagan hits home with a left hook.  
Flanagan lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Crafford tries to land a left uppercut, but Flanagan dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Flanagan lands a right hook.

Crafford manages to force Flanagan into a corner.  Flanagan is on target with a left hook.  
Flanagan gets on the inside.  Flanagan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Flanagan throws a left uppercut, but is off-target.  Flanagan ties up his opponent.  Flanagan pushes his forearm into Crafford's face.  The ref breaks Flanagan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Flanagan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Crafford throws a left hook, but Flanagan holds on to his opponent.  Crafford is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Crafford.  
Flanagan digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  
Flanagan hits home with a firm cross.  
Crafford feints a cross, and then throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Flanagan throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Flanagan clinches his opponent.  Flanagan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Flanagan and breaks the clinch.  
Flanagan throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Flanagan holds on to his opponent.  Flanagan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Flanagan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Flanagan is on target with a left hook.  
Flanagan gets on the inside.  Crafford tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Crafford is on target with a left hook.  
Flanagan gets on the inside.  Crafford connects with a right hook.  
Flanagan drives a right hook into Crafford's ribs.  
Flanagan steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Flanagan walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Flanagan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Flanagan throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Flanagan clinches his opponent.  Flanagan leans on his opponent using all his weight. Flanagan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Crafford's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Flanagan gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Crafford hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Crafford's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Flanagan gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Crafford blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Flanagan digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  CRAFFORD IS HURT!  
Flanagan walks his opponent onto the ropes.  The right shot from Flanagan could be enough to force the stoppage!  Flanagan lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands two right uppercut's to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Flanagan lands a cross to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Flanagan senses Crafford is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Flanagan lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body, AND CRAFFORD IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Crafford cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Flanagan!
